Check-in and Check-out
Regular Check-in time is 4 p.m. Regular Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. We have a 24-hour front desk, and are happy to accommodate early arrivals and late departures – subject to availability. Guests who wish to arrive early or leave late should contact the Front Desk on the morning of their scheduled arrival or departure date to see if an early check-in or late check-out is possible.
Check-out after 1 p.m. results in a fee of half of that night’s room rate.
Check-out after 2 p.m. results in a fee of that night’s full room rate.
Rates, Deposits & Cancellation Policy
Prices shown on our website, in our advertising and marketing literature, and on the LakePlacid.com website are in U.S. Dollars and do not include tax. All hotel room reservations will have a deposit of one night’s stay plus tax charged at the time of booking. A 7-day cancellation policy applies to all reservations unless otherwise noted. We require guests who wish to cancel or shorten their stays to do so at least 7 days prior to their scheduled arrival. If guests cancel their reservations less than 7 days before their scheduled arrival, they will be charged for the first night and forfeit their deposit. Refunds are not available for early check out.
A special 21 day cancellation policy and 4 night minimum is in effect for all Ironman and Half Ironman/70.3 bookings.
Occupancy for Motel Rooms 1 Through 5
2 Adults + 2 Children under 12 are included in our rates for our motel-styled rooms 1 through 5. Additional adults and/or additional children over the age of 12 will be charged an additional $25 fee each. Maximum occupancy for motel rooms 1 through 5 is 4 persons (including children.)
Age
Guests must be at least 18 years old to reserve and check into a room and must have a valid identification and credit card issued in their name.
Children
Children 12 and under stay free. Children over 12 are charged as adults.
Payment
We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We do not accept personal checks. We do not accept purchase orders, vouchers, or Canadian dollars as payment for rooms.
We Enforce a Strict “No Gear in Rooms or Cabins Policy.”
However, we have many guest who stay with us that love to hike, bike, ski and paddle, and we encourage you to bring your gear! In order to best accommodate you, we provide locked, code-access, secure, video monitored gear storage facility and locker for each of our rooms and cabins. We also have a workbench for you to use to tune skis and maintain your bike, all for use free of charge!
Smoking
Cobble Mountain Lodge, LLC. is a non-smoking property. Guests are not allowed to smoke on the balconies or patios of their rooms. Guests will be charged $250 if the smell of smoke is present in their room.
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is provided.
Cleaning Fees for Cabins
We charge a cleaning fee of $25.00 per small cabin, and $35 per large cabin, per stay. We ask that all dishes in cabins with kitchenettes be placed in the sink, and the cooking area and counter tops cleaned. (This cleaning fee also applies to guests that are staying with their dog, and is in addition to our pet fee (see below under “We Are Dog Friendly”).
Anything left that constitutes a “large and unreasonable mess” that requires additional and/or extreme cleaning may incur additional charges above and beyond the normal cleaning fee, up to the full amount of actual cleaning work required at the rate of $30/hour. Damage to your room or cabin will incur additional charges for the actual amount of damages.
We Are Dog Friendly
Cobble Mountain Lodge, LLC. allows guests to bring dogs that are under 50lbs. The dog fee is $50 per pet, per stay plus applicable taxes.
Dog owners who do not clean up after their dogs will be charged a pet cleaning fee (minimum $250). Dog owners are responsible for picking up after their dog on the Lodge grounds. Housekeeping will not clean a room if a dog is present. If a guest who has brought a dog with them wishes to have their room cleaned, they should let the front desk know when the room will be empty. Dogs can not be left unattended at the lodge. Lake Placid is a very dog friendly town! Take your pet friend along with you to enjoy the day.
